Can we leave yet?!

Have you every wanted a week to fly by but never end at the same time? It's a stressful feeling. Ty and I have been soaking up the family love sperated from each other this week. Ty has been in Wisconsin visiting his buddies and family while I have been in Minnesota visiting friends and family.

Current Stats:
36 boxes shipped
12 are confirmed in Gambell
17 are still hanging out in the lower 48
and 2 are still sitting in the Lakeville, Mn Post Office
I would have to guess that we have spent about 1,500.00 in shipping and shipping supplies alone.

Sam Club Grocery Wish List
71 items = $606.08 = a few months worth of food

(We are only putting dollar amounts to inform people that may find themselves in a similar situations. It was hard for Ty and I to go into this experience blind by the idea of how much it was going to cost us just to get up to AK.)

Pictures:
The cake was for Ty on his last day at TSI. I thought it would be a nice gesture for all that he has done and does for me. I also wanted to let him know I am excited for this adventure with him.

The truck is loaded for one of the many trips we took to his parents house to store all of our... stuff.
Thank you for letting us take up most of the basement of the house with our...stuff.

Overall, I am wishing that Ty and I were not hours apart because preparing and packing would be so much easier! I think we are both DONE talking about AK and just want to get there to have our own stories to share and not have to hear, "did you know it's really cold up there?"

Right now, I am sad to know that I will not be close to all of you for a few months but then look at it this way, you get a break from me and I get a break from you! Doesn't the phrase go, distance makes the heart grow fonder...
