After school on Wednesday we finally had time to make a quick run to the beach on our way to the dump to take some pictures of the waves. Of course it was beautiful out at last!
This is a picture of all of the sea food the native people eat that has washed up from the waves. |
More sea food.. Where the sea food is, is only about 100 feet from our housing... pretty scary knowing the waves were this far inland |
From the edge of the water to the village. |
The waves were only a fraction the height as they were Tuesday night but they were still bigger than any I have ever seen... Well besides the waves at Typhoon Lagoon in Disney World : ) |
The sun was peaking out! |
Our village with the Cookies and Cream Mountain.. |
Me on the Honda... so attractive.... haha |
The waves were starting to come in again.. |
This picture is crazy because usually there are 3 tiers at least 10 feet high we have to climb down to get to the beach. Here it is all flat ... |
This is George, he helps out in Ty's room, he asks me to pray for him when he is in there.. so of course I do. |
This was about an hour after we got back from the beach. Ty is always saying, if you don't like the
weather in Gambell wait 10 minutes and it will change....
Can't even see the beach... |
It's so pretty!! |
Time to sleep! |
